Screenprint and sew your own A-line skirt in just one day! We'll show you the basics of using a silk screen to print a design onto your fabric. Then you'll cut and sew your newly printed fabric and make it into an A-line skirt, all while improving your sewing skills: sewing darts, a facing and a hem, and inserting an invisible zip.
Recommended for ages 12 years and up. Please note: Sewing machine skills equivalent to Sewing Basics Mod 1 & 2 required.
2m of non-stretch fabric matching thread, 18cm invisible zip, 15cm fusible interfacing. Fabric should be at least 112cm wide. We recommend a medium to heavy weight cotton or light to medium weight denim.
Pattern provided by Thread Den.
Please note: This pattern is designed for making an unlined skirt. Be sure to take this in to consideration when choosing your fabric - ie. avoid 'scratchy' or see-through fabrics.
